I made an error in one of my Answers to the Survey, or forgot to add a person from my party!

How do I get to Lüttelforster Mühle?

  • If you will be flying in, the closest international airport is Düsseldorf International Airport. From there you can either rent a car or use public transportation to travel to the mill (Mühle means mill in German).
  • A car or taxi will be your fastest option, with a drive time of about 30 minutes. If you want to drive, make sure you have a valid international or German driver’s license!
  • Unfortunately, the mill’s bus service doesn’t run on Sundays, so we’re still figuring this out! We’ll update you closer to the date.

What should I wear?

  • Please wear your Sunday best! You don’t necessarily need to wear a suit or dress, casual chic is okay. But if you wanna’ show off, you go for it! We’ll be leaning into the Autumn theme, so Fall colors would be a great pick.
  • The weather in early October is generally cool, but pleasant. You may want to bring a couple options or a coat along in case the weather is on the chillier side on the day. An umbrella in case of rain is a good idea too!
  • Ladies, please don’t wear white. You may also want to bring an extra pair of shoes as well. (One for dancing and partying, one for walking in the forest or along cobblestones. Trust me when I say cobblestones in heels is tricky!)

Can I bring a +1?

  • Probably! If you are married or in a stable relationship, your partner is invited to attend with you! If you are single but want to bring someone along, let us know! Space at the venue is a bit limited, but we will allow more +1’s once we have a better idea how many guests will be attending.

Can I bring the kids?

  • Children are allowed to attend the wedding, but please let us know if you’d like to bring your kids along. There is limited space at the venue, but we will allow children to come along with their parents as long as space is available!
  • If you are traveling with your children, we are happy to plan an alternative activity for the kids during the wedding in case there isn’t enough space at the venue for everyone.

I would like to give a gift! Do you have a registry?

Where should we stay?

  • We are reserving several rooms at the Lüttelforster Mühle. The rooms run around 110 – 130 euros per night. Please answer in the RSVP if you need help finding accommodation.

I will be in town for a few days or more. Is there anything fun you recommend checking out?

  • A there are several big towns nearby and even other countries.
  • If you want to, go check out the tallest church in Cologne, go for a stroll in Dusseldorf, or just hang out with us in good ol Monchengladbach – more stuff to be posted here later.
  • If you are American, you can ride your car really fast on the Autobahn and tell your friends about it later.

What is included, and what do I need to pay for myself?

  • We will be providing food, drinks, and fun on the big day! You will be responsible for your travel and accommodation.

I’m low on funds but I really want to come! What can I do?

  • We invited you because we would really like to have you be a part of our big day!
  • E-mail us at lorenzoverby@gmail.com if you need help, and we’ll do our best to make it happen!

What food options will you have?

  • We plan to have a buffet. Options we have not picked yet, but we will have a variety that accommodates all our guests.

Why is this on a Sunday? Should we take the Monday off?

  • That was our idea! October 3rd will be a public holiday in Germany, this is why we picked October 1st. If you live in Germany, you can make this a 4 day weekend!

What as a foreigner should I know about Germany

  • Besides the aforementioned public holiday on October 3rd, please be mindful that in Germany, shops are generally not open on Sundays. Depending on where you come from, you might need to check if your drivers license is valid, and you may need to register before you enter the country (we can help you figure this out closer to the date)

What if I don’t speak German?

  • We will do our best to have the event as bi-lingual as possible. Some guests will be English only, some will be German only and a large part will be bilingual.
